    Jane began her strength training journey the summer before her freshman year of college. Back then, Jane’s goals were entirely focused on the way her body looked and at the time, she was willing to do anything to achieve what she wanted. Over the years, this backfired. Jane was living an unsustainable life, full of restrictions. She was disconnected from her body and felt lost in her health and fitness journey.

    Fast forward to 2019… Jane decided to take her power back. She got her personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine to help build confidence in the gym. Shortly after, Jane started her personal training career at Equinox and then in the Summer of 2020, she started her own brand, Movement & Mindset. Since 2020, M&M has served thousands of people! The goal is to help people feel physically and mentally stronger by building confidence through fitness education.

    Growing up in competitive dance, a deep appreciation for well-rounded athleticism was ingrained in Sydney early on. But with the ebb and flow of life and daily routines, maintaining it became a challenge — only made more confusing by the “should” and “should nots” of social media.

    After struggling to find a popular fitness routine that fit her needs and preferences, Sydney pursued a certification in personal training to learn how to customize and optimize an approach to fitness that helped her feel strong, supported, and empowered — NOT overwhelmed, overworked, and tired.

    Now, Sydney works with busy professionals looking to refine their own approach to wellness: cutting out the noise, tuning inward, and learning to optimize a wellness routine for your personal goals and lifestyle.

    Occupational Therapist & RKC coach

    @thick.amb.fit

    “I am an Occupational Therapist and RKC coach with knowledge of movement and the importance of mental health being aligned with movement. I was also a former All American hurdler at Ithaca College and still coach athletes in the track and field world. My goal is to combine my Occupational Therapy and fitness skills to better serve my clients.

    As an athlete, coach, and clinician, I have a passion for helping others be able to do things that they thought they were unable to achieve. I am a hands on person who values my clients understanding the reasons behind each movement and why is it important for improving strength, well-being, and confidence.

    I love that Movement and Mindset is about understanding the importance of both physical and mental health. You can’t focus on one without the other.”

    @leahthefajita

    Growing up in the age of social media, Leah found herself going down toxic fitness and wellness rabbit holes that effected her relationship with food, herself, and exercise. After years of listening to influencers and unbacked “quick fixes”, Leah decided to trust the science. During the pandemic she focused on what her body and mind CAN do vs. what it can’t.

    The idea of other people, especially young girls, struggling the same way she did gave her the motivation to work in fitness.

    Now, Leah focuses on teaching others to appreciate and celebrate who they ARE instead of what they aren’t. She currently teaches group fitness classes at NYU and Orangetheory. Leah is a NASM certified personal trainer, as well as AFAA certified group fitness instructor.

    Being a dancer in the industry, Alexis grew up aware of the toxic outlook on dancers bodies. Growing up where you are constantly critiquing yourself in the mirror at a young age, made her want to shift her mindset and create a strong foundation for herself and others to feel confident and healthy to perform at their best. Focusing on cross training and injury prevention Alexis gained more confidence not only in her dancing abilities but as a coach as well. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in dance and choreography and becoming a NASM certified personal trainer during the pandemic, Alexis felt ready to share her love for movement and fitness with her community. You can currently find her breaking it down on the mic, teaching group fitness classes at Orangetheory and beyond excited to be a part of the Movement & Mindset family!
